When my husband and I were working in Cyprus, we discovered a little café in Larnaca called Mingle. Their food was delicious, healthy, and fresh. This is our replication of their Choco Drink.
1 tsp salt
3 cups milk of choice
4 Medjool dates
2 bananas
4 T cocoa powder
1-1/2 tsp carob syrup
1/3 cup unsalted almond or peanut butter
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Note: When I use the Almond Milk recipe from our cookbook Cooking with Wisdom to make this drink, I only use two dates for the Choco Drink because the almond milk already has dates in it.
Makes 2 2-cup servings
