When my husband and I were working in Cyprus, we discovered a little café in Larnaca called Mingle. Their food was delicious, healthy, and fresh. This is our replication of their Choco Drink.
4 Medjool pitted dates
3 cups milk of choice
1 tsp salt
2 bananas
4 T cocoa powder
1-1/2 tsp carob syrup
1/3 cup unsalted almond butter
Place dates and 1 cup of the milk in a blender and process until dates are completely blended. Add remaining milk and all other ingredients and process until smooth.
Makes 2 2-cup servings
